About the College
A calm, well-ordered campus on 22 acres in Gwarinpa, with small classes and teachers who know every child by name.
Kingsridge College opened in September 1987 with 64 students and six teachers. Today we welcome 1,140 boys and girls from across Nigeria — about 45% of them boarders — and our alumni serve as doctors, engineers, lawyers, public servants and entrepreneurs at home and abroad.
We are best known for three things: the sciences (our students have won the Abuja Schools Science Fair four years running), debate (national finalists in 2025 and 2026), and sport, anchored by our annual Inter-House Sports Day.

Enter through the Main Gate on Kingsridge Close. The central walkway leads past the Dining Hall to the Library. Choose a building to begin.
Academics
Junior students follow the national Basic Education curriculum. In SSS1 each student chooses a track: Science, Arts or Commercial.

How JSS works
Three years building strong foundations. Weekly tests, a mid-term assessment and an end-of-term exam every term.
We give special attention to reading and mathematics in JSS1, with a free after-school clinic twice a week.
Exam: Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the end of JSS3. 2026 result: 100% pass, 71% distinctions.

Boarding Life
Separate boys’ and girls’ hostels, each with resident house parents, a matron and a nurse on call around the clock.
A day in boarding
- Rising bell
Wash, tidy dormitories, room inspection by prefects.
- Morning devotion
Chapel or mosque, followed by a short quiet time.
- Breakfast
Dining Hall — pap and akara, bread and eggs, tea.
- Assembly & lessons
Eight periods, with a break at 10:30.
- Lunch & siesta
Rest hour in the hostels. Lights down, phones stay locked away.
- Sports & clubs
Football, athletics, basketball, debate, JETS, drama and more.
- Dinner
A hot meal — jollof, amala and ewedu, or yam porridge.
- Prep (supervised study)
Two hours of homework with a teacher on duty in each block.
- Lights out
House parents do a final roll call.
Staying in touch
- Parents may call the house parent daily, 5–7 pm.
- Visiting day: first Saturday of every month, 10 am – 3 pm.
- Weekly updates and results on the Parent Portal.
Health & safety
- Sick bay with two resident nurses; doctor visits Tuesdays and Fridays.
- CCTV at all entrances and 24-hour security staff.
- Clean borehole water, treated and tested monthly.
- Backup solar power for hostels and prep rooms.
Admissions
We admit into JSS1 and, where places allow, into JSS2 and SSS1. Applications for the 2027/2028 session are now open.
Five steps to join
- Get the application form
Collect at the Admissions Office or request one using the form below. Form fee: ₦15,000.
- Submit the form and documents
Return it by Friday 8 January 2027 with the items on the checklist.
- Sit the entrance exam
English, Mathematics and General Paper — 2½ hours in total.
- Family interview
A short, friendly chat with the child and a parent or guardian.
- Offer and acceptance
Offer letters are sent within two weeks. Pay the acceptance fee to secure the place.

Fees can be paid in full per term or in two instalments. A 5% discount applies to the third child and above. One-off costs (uniform, textbooks) are paid in First Term only.

Fourth straight win at the Abuja Schools Science Fair
SSS2 students Chidera Nwosu and Ibrahim Lawal took first place with a low-cost water filter made from sand, charcoal and moringa seeds.

Girls’ basketball team reach FCT Schools semi-final
Captain Aisha Bello scored 22 points in a tense 48–44 quarter-final win over a much taller side.

Drama Society to stage “The Gods Are Not to Blame”
Rehearsals are under way for the end-of-term production. Tickets for families will be free, with a collection for the local orphanage.

Academics
WAEC 2026: 98% of candidates earn five credits including English and Maths
Of 186 candidates, 182 met the university entry benchmark. Top scorer Oluwaseun Adeyemi earned nine A1s.

Sports
Olumo House lead the inter-house table after relay day
A clean sweep in the 4×100 m relays lifted Olumo to the top, just ahead of Niger with six events to go.

Arts
Debate team named national runners-up in Lagos
Speaking on “Technology is widening inequality in Nigeria”, our team lost the final by a single point. Tolu Martins won Best Speaker.
